Episode 27 - Hip-Hop & Rap in the Chi with Wilhelm Duke

HEY CHICAGO! This week on DAAA PODCAST we have a very special guest, Wilhelm Duke, a local Chicago hip-hop and rap artists who has been making some noise in the Chicago scene. Wilhelm and the C60 crew discuss hip-hop and rap in the CHI. Ron Russell, a.k.a. Vezaman, from the C60 crew and Wilhelm go back-and-forth talking about how the industry has evolved and what its like to come up as an artist in the hip-hop game nowadays versus a decade or more ago. Wilhelm Duke promotes his group Ever Evolved and we talk about hip-hops culture versus its reality.

We also talk about RATS in the city; Chicago is rated the rattiest metropolitan area... and we are not just talking about the politicians. 

Obama and Trump both visit Chicago for very different reasons and yet the Chicago Police Department still has to cope, especially after top cop Eddie Johnson just got a "no confidence vote" from the Police Union. 

David Ross is the new manager of Da Cubs; Da Bears lose to the Chargers and all mayhem ensues.

DAAA Pregame Show - Bears vs Chargers - Week 8

HEY CHICAGO! DAAA BEARS, LOST to da Chargers of LA, no longer of San Diego. What in the heck is going on here?! Our Bears are giving away games now. Well, let us remember happier times before the loss occurred for another episode of DAAA PREGAME SHOW, which we host LIVE from the CBTC (Chicago Bears Tailgating Club) at 1720 S. Wabash Ave. in da South Loop. 

We spoke with CBTC founder and owner of Da Bus, Tim Shanley, and get his thoughts about DA BEARS and how they are doing this season. Then, we have on OSITO from da Chargers on da show to talk with us about his team, who will win da game, and California versus Chicago weather for which is better for football. Osito dresses up like a superhero for da Chargers and is quite the character... he even correctly predicted the score of da game. 

Anyways, all of that, SMACKERS FOR DA PACKERS and of course, the Jagoff of Da Game on this edition of DAAA PREGAME SHOW!

Episode 26 - Columbus Day, Chick-Hens, and Fulton Market

HEY CHICAGO! This week on DA Podcast the crew is back! Norm returns as we bring you a ton of stories about some silliness happening in our great city of Chicago.

Fulton Market District is in the Top 20 coolest streets in North America and apparently you can no longer have a ton of roosters and chickens in your backyard. DAAA Pregame Show - Bears vs Saints - Week 7

HEY CHICAGO! It's another edition of DAAA PREGAME SHOW. Week 7 DA BEARS took on Da Saints... and... we lost. Yikes. Before the game, we did not know DA BEARS would play so horribly. You will tell from our unbridled enthusiasm and smack talk that we were much more optimist. Ah well, the perils of being a fan. 

We have on Jason, a.k.a. "a Random Saints Fan Who Thinks He Can Talk Smack," and Timmy from Da Bus to talk with us about DAAA GAME. 

We also do SMACKER FOR DA PACKERS, give our predictions and of course the Jagoff of Da Game!

Couch Stories with TJ Karam

HEY CHICAGO! We have another edition of "Couch Stories" and this week we feature TJ Karam. TJ is an actor recently featured on Chicago MED; he is also a producer, business owner, father, husband, and frequenter of doing handstands around the city. 

We speak to TJ about his experience on Chicago MED, what it was like working with Jason Mamoa, the Indian Film Race, his new indie short film, "My Immortal Love," and what it is like being a dad and husband from Texas and now living in Chicago. We also ask him why he does all those handstands and what it is like being an actor in Chicago.

This week on DAAA Podcast we have TJ Karam as our amazing special guest who is a business owner, actor who has been featured on Chicago MED and has done numerous short films including "My Immortal Love." He is also one of two hosts for the excellent documentary and reality show startup, The Indiana Film Race, and he is an indie film producer AND a father and husband. TJ moved to Chicago with his family a few years back and we ask him WHY he did and what he learned about Chicago after moving here versus what he knew before coming to the city. 

We talk with TJ about Chicago corruption and its money issues, his favorite things to do in the city and what it has been like as an actor in the CHI, and we delve into the Chicago Public Schools' potential STRIKE with the city of Chicago as ongoing deliberations with Mayor Lori Lightfoot ensues.

HEY CHICAGO! This week on Da Podcast we have our VERY FIRST SPECIAL GUEST, Jason Lorenzo. Jason is an actor, improviser and dance choreographer from Chicago who has performed in numerous shows. Jason was also a Monster Truck Show Host for two years where he travelled all across the country as a host. 

As comedians, actors, etc. it is hard for us to entertain the masses today when any small phrase we say can be taken out of context and then used against us to get us fired or "cancelled" from a job. 

Jason and the C60 crew discuss "cancel culture" and its effects on the US society and comedians at large. Why is this happening? What is the purpose? Is it hurting our culture? Helping? What will the aftermath be and where is this leading us as a nation? 

We discuss all of that and a little more and of course end with the Jagoff of Da Week which has a tie-in to the main theme of "cancel culture."
